The products and services provided by NanoSoft, LLC are intended for use as is. This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information. If you choose to use our services, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
This section covers iGarden USA version 5.0 and later on iPhone, iPad and Mac. iGarden USA has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. NanoSoft does not collect, receive or sell any of your data.
Your gardens, plantings, garden plans, notes, photos and custom seeds are stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud Sync, they are also stored in your private iCloud database through Apple's CloudKit, so they stay in sync across your devices signed in to the same Apple Account. NanoSoft cannot see or access your private iCloud database. You can turn iCloud Sync off at any time in Frost Dates › iCloud Sync, and your data stays on your device.
iGarden USA uses your location, or a ZIP code you enter, to estimate your average frost dates from NOAA climate normals that are built into the app. That lookup happens on your device. To show your forecast and weather alerts, iGarden USA sends your approximate coordinates directly to the National Weather Service (api.weather.gov). Your location is never sent to NanoSoft.
iGarden USA only uses photos you choose or take for a note, a pest sighting or a custom seed. They are stored with your garden data as described above.
When Apple Intelligence is available, iGarden USA uses it for AI features, and those requests are handled on your device. If you connect your own account with another AI provider, such as Anthropic, OpenAI or Google, your question and any photo you attach are sent directly from your device to that provider, together with the plant, your average frost dates, your state and what's planted in your garden. Your exact location and your notes are not included. That provider's privacy policy applies to those requests. Your API key is stored in the Keychain on your device only and is never sent to NanoSoft.
iGarden USA for Android collects and stores the user's zipcode on the device in order to show recommended planting dates relevant to the climate zone and to look up local weather information over the network.
We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.
Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory. Cookies may be used when using the Wikipedia feature in iGarden USA for Android.
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
